This piece of orthoceras marble was transformed into a unique platter that will turn any table into a conversation starter. Orthoceras are straight-shelled cephalopods that inhabited the oceans of what are now the Atlas Mountains of Erfoud, Morocco some 365 million years ago during the Devonian Period. Note that vinegar and other acids will etch the marble and remove the polish so no olives, pickles, etc. on this platter.
